The Solution

VR3 designed and developed a content managed website using Wordpress, an open source application. The new design included photography and virtual tours of the public bar, restaurant and rooms. The website was integrated with an online booking system allowing the website’s visitors to check availability and book a room.

VR3  also carried out on-going Search Engine Optumisation (SEO) and Paid Search Marketing (Pay-Per-Click), which has already delivered positive results based on relevant search terms.

Result and Financial Benefit for Client

The work was completed over a two and a half month period and the full site was launched at the end of March 2009. When a potential customer types ‘accommodation in north london’ or ‘hotel north london’ into a search engine (Google, Yahoo), The Windmill’s Website will appear on the first page of the results. The customer would then be able to view the site, virtual tours and book a room using the online system. In the first 4 months of the new site’s  launch  The Windmill took over 900 room bookings. With an average booking of £40 per night VR3 has helped The Windmill Hotel to create a turnover of £36,000.
